Embroidery tips: tidying up when you unpick

I had to cut out quite a bit of stitching on my blackwork. Soul destroying when you’ve put so much time in!

And what a mess – all those lose ends and bits of fluff.

My not so secret weapon.. Magic tape:

It has to be this kind of tape, not regular sellotape!

See how easily it clears up the fluff!

I then used a little lasso to pull the ends through and secure them on the back – with blackwork stray threads are going to make a big difference with the finished picture.

Here’s the tidied up area ready to be restitched!
