Puppet theatre

Ted turned 4 last week. We’ve had over a week of celebrations, family staying, a trip to the theatre to see the lion king and a party for 25 kids.

I wanted to share with you my favourite of Ted’s birthday presents.
It started off as my nephew’s idea. He drew the design and my dad built it.

Ted’s cousins painted the theatre, then my Dad wired up the stage lights.. ( sorry for the photo – hard to capture the stage light in the daytime)

Mum made the curtains and a selection of puppets..

I’ve been so excited about this project and have been getting updates on it for about 6 months now. We have some more heads on sticks for Ted and I to make more puppets and I imagine he’ll be using his toys to put on plays for us – something he’s recently started doing even without the theatre!!

I love comments so don’t be shy, let me know what you think…
