Between a triple fourth birthday party and rugby tots, I managed to find some time this weekend to add some new stock to the shop.
I’ve been reading about the importance of photos in selling online and of course it makes so much difference! I found a great article over on the Folksy blog this week. The first things I put up on my folksy shop were beautifully photographed and edited by my husband. Thankfully photography is a bit of a hobby for him so he has all the equipment and has been able to give me lots of tips!
This weekend I went alone for the first time though and hopefully have done a decent job!
The hardest thing to photograph was the quilt. Is so difficult to find a stylish way to show off the quilt, get the whole thing in and get a decent picture.
I have had a great idea for taking photos in the garden if the rain will hold off for an hour!!
I used my husband’s SLR camera to take the photos, I tried to light the area I was using as much as possible. Then I used Picassa to edit the photos before uploading them!
For now though if you like anything you see, check it out on my Folksy shop or get in contact if you’d like to commission something!
I love comments so don’t be shy, let me know what you think…
